Over the long weekend for Merdeka day, i managed to read two books. despite the time taken for rumah terbuka and entertaining a penggilan (wedding invitation).
[friday: a barbecue at Pok Sahari's (5-11pm); Saturday: rumah terbuka (raya celebration and house warming party) at Isz's and to Pok Sidik's (1-6pm); sunday: Kumpak's penggilan (8am-1pm)]
The first book was easy, as i've been through 2/3 of the book earlier of the week. i may change my mind after i read more of the series (this is the second book of the planned 7 and i haven't read the first nor watch The Game of Throne series). but, the book is boring. reading the law of ancient Mesopotamian and Sumerian law are way more entertaining (ya, i read to articles about these to find if there's law regarding legality of marriage~wife in the Mid-Bronze Age, Abraham's time. Hagar was not his legal wife.).
Back to the book. i faced a hard time remembering the characters. let alone the terrains and their realm. maps are provided, but, hahhaha.. i have no talent comprehending maps. The Stark's family is quite interesting, especially because they have direwolves and I'm drawn to side with them, (to Arya and Bran). my sister read the series and i might pick it from her. but, for now, i am not overtly crazy over the series.
because of the low key lup-dup i experienced throughout the reading, i rate this book at: 4/10

Yang danerish tu pun bagus...Sy harap sasa tu bijak lah di tmpt org jahat..Popong ada ckp dia download internet..Habis sdh season 2 yg movie..Klu mau cepat tau cerita mau baca buku lah..Ko beli buku dia kah?

best bah ni cerita. sedang baca book 5 sekarang. kena baca sambil tgk map tu baru lah betul2 dapat indulge.
ya, sia pun paling suka arya. then, itu tyrion lannister pun menarik. bran, dia special tu. nanti book 5 baru kamu tau lah. ada 1 karakter lagi Davos, mcm bagus. sansa pun ok jg nanti dia pandai poker face sudah tu nanti. jon snow agak bikin panas pasal tidak dapat kasi tetap hati, tapi baru 16yrs old bah tu. ok jg dia ni nanti. itu rob, out.
paling bikin gerigitan itu jeoffrey! then cercei, malisendra sama stannis.
I'm team dragon. go-go dany, the unburnt, mother of dragon.
i go for the direwolves!
pong, itu kau punya bikin gerigitan sama macam doa hatred si Arya. wakakaka! stannis i think, puppet jak bah tu.
i think in the book 2, si Bran pny dual existence mentioned sdh.
jon snow can be forgiven of anything. he's a bastard son and a nightwatch at that..
itu starks teda claim for that iron throne bah. its the dragon or lion or that baratheons. unless arya marry to the targaryan.
i also dislike itu littlefinger.
littlefinger? belum get across that figure lagi.. hahha..
the interesting point of siding with the direwolves is, i dont care if they got the throne. i want them to just rule their own little kingdom and be feared. bukan ituka yang paling best in life? (biar orang cakap, kalau dorang yang rules mesti ok tu, tengok tu negara drg kecil saja tapi awesome)
downloaded book 3 last night to my phone. baru pg13 mengantuk sdh. storyline menarik but the perbualan, macam request perkara doa di kelompok sel. merewang-rewang.
its all about blood bah tu, that stark teda claim to the throne unless through marriage or ada something magical melampau say, si bran jadi dragon. other than that, paling bagus pun jadi hands of the king.
winterfell tidak kaya i dont know what their trade, warden of the north. pun tiada loyal allies yg banyak sedangkan both of ned and catelyn are highborns. mcm hang tuah bah tu si ned, loyal gila sama baratheon. bila tywin asked arya kenapa bapa dia mati, dia jawab 'loyalty'.

I read somewhere that reading book nowadays is an expansive hobby. Having a book in your hand is a novelty (no pun intended). But am not rich so i put an eyepatch and raids the internet for free pdf. When i cant find some, then i put on my best tux and says 'Kukuanga minta pdf ni game of thrones pls pls plsss'..
I mean *expensive. Expansive hobby...hm bulih juga.
itu hari sia p menonton wayang sama kawan sia yg hard core gamer. tgk cerita silent hill yg latest. oleh kerana sia tdk main ni game, so tdk dapat relate sgt sama ni cerita, so plot dia mmg out bg sia. tapi sia takut juga lah balik tu malam.
the menarik part was, itu bapa tu budak perempuan is eddard stark and tu bf is jon snow. owh, kalau mau tgk cercei mati dgn sungguh puas hati, sila lah p tgk cerita judge dredd. hehe
awww..mell, i like 'expansive' better. because yang expensive tu kan, bikin alasan jak..tp, mmg kalau kasi banding sama our neighbouring countries, buku agak mahal sini, and titles also quite limited. but, thanks to technology, now, everyone can raid.
pong, somehow, after reading book #5, macam bikin kesian juga tu cercei. hahhaha..(cepat lg sy baca moby dick dari ni buku owh..bikin panat)..
