flood

flood hit Kuching badly. a friend who live in Matang Jaya called (Dy, thanks for the call!) and asked if my place (Batu Kawa) ok. Thank God, a couple of months ago, the developer of the newly built neigbouring Taman, completed the extension to our drainage system. therefore, we have a proper and working drainage system. 

the king tide from 09/01-17/01 (expected to be more than 6 m) and non stop pouring rain makes the flood in Kuching and surrounding area (Serian and Bau) the worst for the past 3 years. (yay! my first real encounter with flood... no, i didn't count the flashflood in Kajang years back as a real flood)

one of my student still not coming back to college since weekends, he's stranded by the flood in his kampung. (Kg. Tebakang, Serian, one of those badly hit area).  the sun shine today (for about 3 hours)... and the rain start pouring again...

i called mom last night and she told me it's raining heavily in Ranau too.....
